The cabbage rolls are another standout, rich and flavorful, packed with ground beef and rice, wrapped in tender cabbage leaves, and smothered in a savory tomato sauce that will have you craving more. The rich, meaty borscht is another fan favorite. It's a hearty, flavorful beet soup that's as vibrant in color as it is in taste. They source fresh, local ingredients whenever possible, ensuring that each dish is not only delicious but also prepared with the best ingredients available. The care that goes into every aspect of the meal-whether it’s the hand-rolled perogies or the lovingly prepared borscht-really shows.

For those looking to try something a little different, the menu also includes a variety of sandwiches, salads, and sides, all crafted with the same attention to detail and passion for great food. • Usually a huge fan as I love their dill sauce, however this order I just received had barely any! It’s the whole reason I ordered so I’m disappointed this time. Edit! Tried again and asked for lil extra cream sauce and they didn’t disappoint! Comfort food for sure, sauce needs a tiny more dill but that could just be me as I love dill!

  • So obsessed with the nalysnyky, I made a big deal about them on our local food review group. They are just so good and come frozen or hot and ready to go. The meatballs are excellent as well! The hours suck, but, if I had a restaurant would do the same so can't judge! Thanks for the delicious nalysnyky!

  • I walked in not knowing what to expect. The lady that owns it welcomed me in. Explained the menu to me and gave suggestions. I decided on perogy poutine it was fantastic. I devoured it in 5 mins. Will stop again so I can try many other items off the menu. The dessert looked fantastic but I was too full to have any.

  • Food that almost tastes as good as baba’s! Lightning quick service with a smile. Should open up a store in SW Edmonton so I don’t have to drive as far lol

  • The Purple Perogy is an excellent spot to stop for a quick bite. The food is amazing and the perogy they make are delicious, as are all the other foods such as the nalysnyky. The staff are also super friendly which makes the experience even better. My wife and I got combo 1 for take out and for $11.99 you cannot go wrong. It was super filling and the price point is hard to beat. If you are looking for some amazing Ukrainian food in Strathcona County, look no further. Also, be sure to look out for their food truck in the summer.

  • If you've ever wondered what colour of perogy would be the best — here's your answer! Absolutely delicious perogies with REAL BACON BITS! *SPOILER* the perogies aren't actually purple...but you'll eat them until you are!
